As we age, our skin loses its natural elasticity. Becasue of this, the appearance of “smile lines” can become more and more pronounced over time. With Restylane’s filler products, you can see tremendous results at softening these lines. Both of these dermal fillers can help restore a younger, healthier look to your face.

What is Restylane?
Restylane’s original dermal filler, is a dermal filler that treats severe facial wrinkles and folds, and for patients over the age of 21 it can be used to plump lips. Restylane use hyaluronic acid in gel form to create fuller lips and erase lines around the nose and mouth. Nasolabial folds or the folds of skin that run on the insides of the cheeks from your nose to your mouth can be treated with Restylane filler. If you are looking for fuller lips or want to treat severe lines/folds on your face, contact us for a consultation for Restylane fillers.
Restylane Collection of Fillers:
Lyft
Restylane Lyft is a hyaluronic acid filler that is perfect for treating the hands and face? Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring part of our skin that keeps our skin hydrated and smooth. Restylane Lyft is an FDA-approved gel injectable that contains hyaluronic acid and is designed to smooth skin on the face and hands. Lyft can plump the skin in the hands making your hands look fuller and more youthful. Lyft can also treat “marionette” lines and smile lines. If you are looking for a more youthful look, ask us about Restylane Lyft.
Defyne
Restylane Defyne is another hyaluronic acid dermal filler that utilizes the same XpresHAn TechnologyTM as Refyne. It can also be used to treat both marionette lines and the nasolabial folds (lines around the nose). Defyne uses a unique cross-linking gel to help support facial expressions and treats deeper lines around the nose and mouth. Unlike other fillers and injections, Defyne does not limit facial movement. Defyne is proven to help patients maintain expressions and movement in their faces. Both Refyne and Defyne can help decrease the presence of facial lines. Talk to Kathryn Russo to help decide which filler or injectable is best for you.
Refyne
Refyne is a hyaluronic acid dermal filler that utilizes XpresHAn TechnologyTM to treat the lines that appear at the corners of the mouth and go towards the chin. These lines are sometimes referred to as “marionette lines” because of the similar appearance to the lines on a puppet. Refyne is also engineered to treat the lines that appear on either side of the nose that extend to the corners of the mouth.
Kysse
Restylane’s newest filler: Kysse came out in May of 2020. Kysse is a lip filler that utilizes XpresHAn Technology for smooth, natural-looking, and natural-feeling results. Many men and women who have tried Kysse have reported that the filler feels more natural in their lips compared to other lip fillers they have tried. This is because XpresHan Technology changes how the hyaluronic acid binds inside a patient’s lips. Some women report that their lip filler feels a little strange when talking, smiling, or kissing, but Kysse is designed to create a more natural feeling with a filler that moves in perfect sync with your lips.
Like other dermal fillers, the collection of Restylane fillers are minimally invasive and require limited preparation. During your consultation you should talk to your provider about any allergies or important medical conditions that might affect your treatment. To avoid bruising at the injection site you should avoid the following for 3 days prior to treatment.
- Avoid using pain medications that thin your blood like Advil or Motrin
- Avoid drinking beverages that contain alchol
- Avoid using supplements that include Vitamin E, Ginseng, Garlic, Ginkgo, or St. John’s Wort
- Before your appointment you should remove all of your make-up and make sure the treatment area is clean

I am so happy I was able to meet Kathryn Russo. For someone new to injectables/ terrified of needles I could not have been in better hands. I truly appreciated her transparency about the Botox process. In addition, her knowledge and professionalism was very much appreciated. Her skill truly impressed me in office and I was delighted with my results. I left the office feeling educated as well as confident in $ spent.

★★★★★
I started botox last year at the age of 37 on my forehead. I had other concerns i.e. gummy smile but Kathryn was the first to suggest botox in my upper lip rather than filler. This was a game changer and made the biggest difference in my smile. Kathryn is beautiful inside and out and so is her staff that goes the extra mile for every body.

Kathryn is now my go to girl for anything I’m getting done with my face now. She’s so nice and funny and keeps it real with whatever you want to get done. Doesn’t pressure you into anything. So far I've seen her for Botox and filler. So far very happy with the results. Very convenient for all the newton ladies (men too).
Frequently Asked Questions About Restylane Fillers
If you have any questions about Restylane Injections, we highly recommend that you contact Kathryn Russo Aesthetics. Our office would be happy to answer any of your specific questions. We also wanted to address a few commonly asked questions:
Men and women who are looking to reduce the signs of premature aging are great candidates for fillers. Many clients start looking into fillers in their 30s and even in some cases their 20s. Restylane’s collection of fillers can help patients smooth lines all around their face as well as increase volume.
Restylane fillers generally last up to 18 months when treating nasolabial folds. many patients report seeing great results for up to a full year.
Clients who get Restylane injections can expect to start to see a difference within an hour after their treatment. However, their full results might appear over the course of a few days.
Both Restylane and Juvederm use hyaluronic acid for their fillers to plump up skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. On average Restylane can take a few days longer to work according to some patients and may not last as long as Juvederm. However, here at Kathryn Russo Aesthetics our goal is to match patients to the treatment that works best for them.
